Licensed in All 50 States
iAgency LLC is a commercial trucking insurance agency licensed to write coverage in all 50 states. Wherever your authority is based and wherever your trucks run, we can quote, bind, and service the policy.
We specialize in the carriers that are hardest to place: new authority operations with a DOT number less than twelve months old, owner-operators buying their first commercial auto policy, and fleets growing faster than their current agent can keep up with.
What we cover
Commercial auto liability — $750,000 federal minimum, $1,000,000 standard for broker contracts
Motor truck cargo — typically $100,000, higher for high-value freight
Physical damage — comprehensive and collision on tractors, trailers, and equipment
Trailer interchange — required under most interchange agreements
Non-trucking liability (bobtail) and occupational accident
General liability, workers compensation, and umbrella for full programs
Interstate versus intrastate requirements
If you cross state lines, the FMCSA financial responsibility rule sets your floor: $750,000 in auto liability for general freight, $1,000,000 for certain oil and hazardous substances, and $5,000,000 for the most hazardous materials. Broker and shipper contracts almost always demand $1,000,000, so that is the practical minimum.
If you run only inside one state, that state's own requirements apply, and they vary considerably. Some states adopt the federal number, others set lower intrastate minimums, and several require separate filings on top of your policy. We confirm the exact requirement for your domicile state and operating radius before quoting.
Markets we shop
We are an independent agency, so we shop your account across multiple carriers rather than pushing one company's product. Our core commercial auto markets include Progressive, Geico, and Cover Whale, backed by specialty and MGA markets for accounts that need them — long-haul, hazmat, heavy haul, tow, and carriers with adverse loss history.
How to get quoted
Send your DOT or MC number, list of power units and trailers, and your driver list with license numbers and dates of birth

Choose an option, sign electronically, and we handle filings and binding
Most complete submissions come back with a full quote package inside one business day. Call (469) 501-1071 or email service@iagency.biz.
Frequently asked questions
How much is commercial truck insurance for a new authority? For a single-truck new authority running general freight regionally, expect a wide range depending on driver experience, radius, and garaging location. Driver MVR and years of CDL experience move the number more than almost anything else.
Can I get insured with a brand new DOT number? Yes. New authority is our core business. Several of our markets specifically write carriers in their first year, though they will scrutinize driver experience closely.
How fast can I get a certificate? Once bound, we issue certificates of insurance same day, usually within the hour during business hours.
